Biography

Steven Algie Rose-Kearney, known professionally as S.Brazy.Rose, was born on December 30, 1989, at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. As the youngest of four siblings, he was the fifth child in his family. Rose-Kearney's early life was marked by challenges, which led to his placement in foster care after the child welfare system intervened. By the age of five, he was moving from one home to another. Tragedy struck when he was five years old, as his father was fatally shot by police. This event triggered Rose-Kearney's use of rap music as an outlet for his emotions, including hurt, loneliness, and neglect. At the age of seven, Rose-Kearney was adopted by Carrie Kearney, who later relocated him to Baltimore, Maryland, for a fresh start. However, the emotional weight of his past experiences continued to affect him, leading to behavioral issues at school and at home. He gravitated toward peers who were also struggling and found solace in the music of Tupac Shakur, whose lyrics resonated deeply with him. Rose-Kearney began creating mixtapes and rapping as a means of expression, finding that music kept him grounded. After being sentenced to 10 years for armed robbery, he took his passion for rap music more seriously, using it as a way to channel his emotions and experiences.
