LEMUEL STRANGE

Born, Rowan Bruff, Lemuel was born in Lynn, MA to a young mother and reggae artist. Raised in Franklin and Southampton County, VA.

Lemuel discovered his love for music at the age of 3 when his father introduced him to reggae music. But as he got older, he became fond of artists like Big Daddy Kane, Kid and Play, Dana Dane, and later, Jay Z.

At the age of 11, he began writing music of his own. He used his music as a way to escape the things that were happening around and to him and it became his source of expression.

By the age of 14 , he was writing RnB and  recorded his first album on tape. And by the age of 17, he decided that he was not satisfied being labeled, A Rapper. He was, "An Artist". His talent far exceeded one genre of music. He began going by the name, Rofel, and signed to an independent label called Landmine Entertainment at the age of 18. He recorded and album under the label that was never released, but had singles on multiple mixtapes and performed live shows between North Carolina and Virginia, his first Old Dominion University. Lemuel eventually left the label to become an independent artist and released his mixtape titled, "The Beginning".

Over the years, Lemuel has opened for Hip Hop legends such as Naughty by Nature. He has been consistent in putting out mixtapes and albums, videos and making a name for himself in his state, Virginia, and the surrounding areas. He has had radio airplay at multiple radios, has done radio interviews and has been on 2 podcasts.

His music can be found on platforms such as SoundCloud, YouTube, SoundClick, DatPiff, Reverbnation and many other major streaming and digital platforms under Both names, TheArtist Rofel and Lemuel Strange, but nowadays he prefers Lemuel Strange. A name he adopted as he transformed his life around becoming a God-fearing man of positivity, growth, love, and inspiration.

During that transformation and what He would describe it as, "Reinvention of himself," Lemuel released his first Gospel album, #GodGotMe, released in 2021, now streaming Everywhere. He followed up with his second Gospel album, God Still Got Me in 2023, which is also streaming Everywhere.

Today, Lemuel Strange proceeds to remain persistent as he continue to release singles and videos.
